Mark S. Mullens

Mark Mullens entered into the presence of the Lord on December 23rd, 2025.

Born on January 29th, 1969, in New Castle, IN., Mark lived a life marked by faith, love, and devotion. He trusted the promises of God and found strength and comfort in his faith.

Mark was known for his kindness and gentle spirit, his strong work ethic, his love of basketball and a willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Over the years, Mark opened his home to two exchange students and hosted several children in crisis through Safe Families of Indianapolis. He was a volunteer for the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department and spent time coaching the Lady Jackets JV Basketball team. His servant’s heart reflected Gods love through his actions and care for those around him.

Mark is survived by Amy Mullens (wife), Tyler Mullens and Ben Mullens (sons), Bethany Carlton, Brooke Manning, Brent Harriman and Blaire Harriman (stepchildren), Edward and Barbara Mullens (parents), Kent and Michelle Mullens (brother and sister-in-law), ten grandchildren, and three nieces; who all take comfort in knowing that he is restored and at peace in Gods eternal care.

Mark was the epitome of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8—“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.
