Martha T. Taylor, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron. She was born November 24, 1933, in Acton, the daughter of Alfred and Anna (Schmit) Bohman. She married Charles E. Taylor, and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1994. Martha is survived by her sons; Billy J. Taylor of Shelbyville, and Martin D. Taylor of Oroville, California; daughters, Barbara M. Bell and Irene C. Hammerick, both of Oroville, and Anna Williams and husband, Sean, of Shelbyville; brother, Tony Bohman of Greenwood; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Freida K. Ballard; and brother, Victor Bohman. Martha was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was formerly a beautician. Martha enjoyed oil painting, knitting and crocheting. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Father Mike Keucher officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Auxiliary, 1125 Miller Avenue, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.freemanfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
