Mary E. Carmony, 93, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Waldron Health Care, in Waldron.
Born Feb. 15, 1912, in Brown County, she was the daughter of the late Homer L. and Mary O. (Williams) Evans. She married Cecil H. Carmony June 20, 1931, and he preceded her in death May 8, 1998.
Survivors include one son, C. Duane (wife, Jenny) Carmony of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Terry D. (wife, Connie) Carmony, Brenda Carmony Lawson and Timothy A. (wife, Lisa) Carmony, all of Shelbyville; four great-grandchildren, Todd Carmony of Greenwood, Amanda Lawson of Indianapolis, and Joey Lawson and Jordan Carmony, both of Shelbyville; one great-great-grandchild, Tyler Carmony of Greenwood; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild, Chris Owen of Greenwood.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Florine Wells; and one brother, Tommy Evans.
Mrs. Carmony lived most of her life in Shelbyville.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Carmony graduated in 1929 from Shelbyville High School.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she was a member of the Women?s Missionary Society. She also was an auxiliary member of Gideons International.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Dr. Steven Bohall officiating.
Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, in Morristown.
