Mary Louise Everhart

Mary Louise Everhart, 89, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. She was born May 17, 1928, in Jackson County, the daughter of Maurice K. and Hazel (Fogelding) Thompson. On November 29, 1946, she married Emerald S. “Buck” Everhart; and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2016. Mary is survived by her daughter, Deloris Ann “Dee” Evilsizer of Castle Rock, Colorado; sons, William D. “Bucky” Everhart and wife, Carolyn, of Norman; Elisha M. Everhart of Tipp City, Ohio; and Michael R. Everhart and wife, Janet, of Morristown; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Thompson; son-in-law, Marshall Evilsizer; and one grandchild. Mary graduated from Austin High School in 1946. She cherished the time she spent with her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Buck. Mary was a member of Brookville Road Community Church. She retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis in 1984, with 25 years of service. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 W US-52, New Palestine. Funeral services and a Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Mary’s niece, Karen J. Diefendorf, Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel), retired, U.S. Army officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookville Road Community Church or Hancock Regional Hospice, 801 N.
