Michael Dean Stith

Michael Dean Stith, 56, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1960, in Shelbyville, the son of Richard Vernon and Etta “Faye” (Walker) Stith. Michael is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Gregory and husband, Michael, of Shelbyville; and close friends, Lena Brown and family, Greg Reinbold and Gary Branson, all of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1978. He formerly attended First Christian Church. Michael formerly worked at Williams Industries and later was a self-employed construction worker. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 2118. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
