Michael J. "Mike" Branson

Michael J. “Mike” Branson, 71, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was born July 29, 1948, in Shelbyville, the son of James Morris and Georgia E. (Risk) Branson. Mike is survived by his cousins, William R. “Bill” Branson and wife, Martha, of Shelbyville, Patricia Cromwell and husband, Bill, of Dublin, Ohio, Sharon Turner and husband, Lynn, of Arlington, James L. “Jim” Branson and wife, Sharon, of Shelbyville, John Branson and companion, Peggy Humbles, of Shelbyville, and Gingi Crosby and husband, Rick, of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike graduated in 1966 from Shelbyville High School. He retired in 2013, with 47 years of service, from the State of Indiana, Indiana Department of Revenue, as an information officer. Mike enjoyed working in his yard. Private services will be observed.
