Michael Ray Stoneking, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.
He was born January 19, 1952, in Batesville, the son of Merrill and Katherine “Louise” (McKinney) Stoneking. He married Rose Shelle Anderson, and she survives.
In addition to Rose Shelle, Mike is survived by his sons, Jason Stoneking and wife, Becky, of New Palestine, and Merrill Stoneking of Shelbyville; daughters, Michelle Shircliff and husband, Jeromy, of Shelbyville, and Erica Tyler of Indianapolis; sister, Brenda Johnson and husband, Steve, of Austin, Texas; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter; and a son.
Mike graduated in 1970 from Triton Central High School.
He was formerly a member of the Army National Guard.
Mike appreciated all cars, but preferred Chevrolets.
He also leaves behind his dog, Camo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
