Micheal Eugene Ball

Micheal Eugene “Mike” Ball, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born August 4, 1953, in Tell City, the son of Noah and Georgia Ball.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Mica Mullis and husband, Nathon, of Sarasota, Florida, and Whitney Galloway and fiance’, Mauri Sasher, of Shelbyville; sons, Jeremy Ball and wife, Tangela, of Greensburg, Jody Rickard , of Rockport, and Jamie Rickard of Indianapolis; brother, Ronnie Ball of Rockport; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Nathon Jr., Haley, Arie, Waylon, Johnathon, Dillon, Ian, Sean, Colby, Kabe and Christina; great-grandchildren, Avery, Nova, Carson, Ava; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Linsey Ball; brothers, James, Noah, Randy and Paul Ball; and sisters, Louise Everett, Thelma and Janie Ball.

In 1971, Mike graduated from Rockport High School.

Mike began working at KT where he helped build Air Stream trailers for the government.  He was a respiratory therapist for 15 years.  Later he assisted with the special needs of children in the Shelbyville School District.  After retirement, he worked at DOCs Amoco in Shelbyville.

He enjoyed collecting antiques and coins.

Mike loved creating lasting memories with his family .

He was a man of faith and reading his Bible was very important to him.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
