Mildred Jean Tracy

Mildred Jean Tracy, 92, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Springhurst Health Care in Greenfield. She was born August 7, 1926, in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Laura (Rowe) Cresswell. On December 22, 1946, she married James Tracy, and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1989. Mildred is survived by her son, Neil Tracy and wife, Debra, of Morristown; grandsons, Justin Tracy and Nolan Tracy; and great-granddaughter, Willow Tracy. In addition to James, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Edward “Eddie” Tracy; brother, Robert Cresswell; and sister, Betty Biggs. Mildred graduated in 1944 from Palestine High School in Palestine, Illinois. She was the office manager at Kmart for 20 years, retiring in 1989. Mildred was an avid reader. Visitation will be from 10 am to noon Friday, November 9, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with Mark Myer officiating. Interment will be at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
