Mildred L. Perry, 79, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Major Hospital.
Born May 21, 1928, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Howard C. and Mary E. (Sedgwick) Miller. She married Glenn M. Perry on February 15, 1947, and he survives.
Other survivors include her daughters, Glenna L. (husband, Sam) Stocklin and Maurine E. Brandman, both of Shelbyville, and Ethel Mae (husband, Larry) Kimbrough of Indianapolis; her twin sister, Martha E. Tucker of Shelbyville; brother, Wayne A. (wife, Ruth) Miller of Boggstown; grandchildren, Mark (wife, Alicia) Fisher, Jeff (wife, Anissa) Fisher, Todd (wife, Susan) Stocklin, Randy (wife, Angie) Stocklin, Amy (husband, Glenn) Glackman, Todd (wife, Alisha) Grant and Kris (husband, Jason) Walters; great-grandchildren, Krystan, Cheyenne, Haley, Sammy, Nolan, Steven, Sarah, Ryan, Jordan, Trent and Lauren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Tom Brandman; brother, Garnet Miller, Earl Miller, Gerald Miller, Donald Miller and Roland Miller; and sisters, Dorothy Weaver, Florence Taylor and Virginia Shelton.
Mrs. Perry lived most of her life in Shelby County.
She had been employed at Triton Central Schools, where she was the head cook and managed the book store; she also farmed with her husband.
Mrs. Perry attended Shelbyville High School and graduated from Fairland High School in 1946.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Blue River Sams Camping Club and was active in Shelby County Farm Bureau.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Churchin the old chapel, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
