Norma Lee Dean

Norma Lee Dean, 85, of Fountaintown, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Rosegate Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis.

She was born December 19, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ward and Evelyn (Bauers) Hughes. On September 17, 1960, she married, Donnel L. “Don” Dean, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2018.

Norma is survived by her children, Brian Dean and wife, Misty, of Indianapolis, Darryl Dean and wife, Sandra, of New Palestine, and Heather Klepinger of Morristown; brother, Ward Hughes and wife, Marilyn, of Greensburg; grandchildren, Danielle, Dustin, Donna, Cynthia, Annika and Hannah; nine great-grandchildren; and three nephews, Scott, Kris and Andy.

In 1958, Norma graduated from Warren Central High School.

She was an active member of Shiloh Christian Church, where she sang in the choir and helped with meals.

Private graveside services will be at Fountaintown Cemetery in Fountaintown.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
