Pamela M. “Pam” Bergen, 70, of Rushville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.
She was born October 1, 1951, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Carl E. and Helen (Curry) Walton. On February 14, 1994, she married Charles “Pat” Bergen, and he survives.
In addition to Charles, Pam is survived by her sons, Micheal R. Wise Jr. and wife, Stephanie, and Randall W. Bray, both of Shelbyville; daughter, Amanda Jay and husband, Nate, of Eaton, Ohio; sisters, Linda Kay McDaniel and Terry Pursley, both of Shelbyville; brothers, Carl Walton and wife, Amy, Roger J. Walton and wife, Trisha, Darrell Walton and Kim Walton, all of Shelbyville, and Brad Walton and wife, Vickie, of Twin Lake, Kentucky; grandchildren, Crystal Ward, Brittany Ward, Brianna Ward, Braily Richey and husband, Cade, Justin (baby Chase) Wise and wife, Shelby, Jordan Wise, Jared Wise, Taylor McCulloch and husband, Collin, Keaton Bray, Nick Bray, Kylie Bray and Tanner Bray; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Misty Dawn Bray; sisters, Carla Phelps and Kristina Richards; and brother, Douglas Walton.
She received an associates degree from Ivy Tech College.
Pam enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and raising vegetables. She also enjoyed going fishing and riding in the quad and jeep.
She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Pam leaves behind her bird, Rocky and was preceded by her dog, Willa.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pamela Bergen Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
