Pamela Sue Bylsma

Pamela Sue Bylsma, 71, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at her home. She was born August 5, 1950, in Franklin, the daughter of Myron and Mary (Broaddus) Richardson. She married Bartell “Bart” Bylsma, in July of 1992, and he preceded her in death in May of 2019. Pamela is survived by her sons, Jason Coffey and wife, Emily, and James Coffey Jr. and wife, Crystal, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Angelique Randall and husband, Terry, of Clermont, Jessica Springer and husband, Joel, of Shelbyville, Kelly Levander and husband, Darin, of Hudsonville, Michigan, and Karrie Bylsma-Irvin of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sister, Kay Harrington Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Nelene Bylsma of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to Bart, Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Sean Coffey and Joseph Emory. Pamela graduated in 1968 from Speedway High School, and ITT Tech in 1969. She also attended cosmetology school in 1992. She was a nurse for 51 years, with 26 years of service at Major Hospital. Pamela loved the Lord and was a member of the Christian Life Centre, she enjoyed watching television ministries. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Pam enjoyed making quilts, painting, and shopping. She also leaves behind beloved her dog, Pierre. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Christian Life Centre, 1115 St. Joseph St., in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the church, with Rev. Joel Springer officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Christian Life Centre facebook page. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children’s Foundation, 30 S. Meridian St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
