Patricia L. "Patty" Perkinson

Patricia L. “Patty” Perkinson, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away, Monday, November 27, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 30, 1932, in Boggstown, the daughter of Chester Richard and Madge Mildred (Weaver) Buehling. On May 27, 1950, she married her husband of 58 years, Robert Joseph Perkinson, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2008. Patty is survived by her sons, Michael Lee Perkinson and wife, Linda, of Boggstown, and Douglas Jay Perkinson and wife, Faith, of Shelbyville; daughter, Sherri Lynn Linsenbach and husband, Donald, of Morgantown; sisters, Norma Cisco of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Judy Larkey of Fairland, Rita Rowe and husband, Bob, of Greenfield and Nancy Gannon and husband, Dan, of Fairland; grandchildren, Nathan Perkinson and wife, Kyra, Craig Perkinson and wife, Anne, Devin Linsenbach and wife, Sharon, Joseph Perkinson, Sandrina Perkinson and Nicholas Perkinson; great-grandchildren, Garrett Perkinson, Caleb Perkinson, Samuel Perkinson, Emily Richards and Abby Rose Linsenbach; sisters-in-law, Betty Buehling of Boggstown, Doris Buehling of Canada, Eleanor Ann Perkinson of Indianapolis, and Judy Hollander of Indianapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Buehling and Dennis Buehling; and sisters, Betty Bates and Carol Buehling. Patty graduated from Boggstown High School in 1950. She formerly worked at Special Angels Daycare in Cape Coral, Florida, and at Linne’s Bakery. Patty was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. She enjoyed her flower gardens and working in her yard. Patty also enjoyed reading and classical and rock music. Patty loved pomeranians and always had one, she also liked her birds. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
