Peyton Lewis Owens, 18, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Greenfield.
He was born October 24, 2000, in Shelbyville, the son of Bobby Lewis and Rhonda Charlene (Johnson) Owens.
Peyton is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; sisters, Brittany Galbraith and husband, Tommy, and Misty Bennett, and fiance’, Phillip Keith, all of Shelbyville; brother, Shawn Keller of Shelbyville; paternal grandparents, Leonard Owens and wife, Connie, of Greenwood, and Carol Speakes and husband, Joseph, of Whiteland; nieces and nephews, Destiny Pike, Elijah Jones, Isaiah Keller, Ellie Keller, Hunter Keller, Noah Bennett, Parker Keith, Peyton Keith, Demari Keith, Addison Keller and Owen Galbraith; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter Johnson and Doris Yarber.
Peyton was a 2019 graduate of Shelbyville High School.
He worked as a plumber for APS in Indianapolis.
Peyton enjoyed working out, hunting, fishing and playing “Fortnite”. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends.
He loved his family and spending time with them. Peyton loved to play his guitar.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 at the funeral home, with Pastor Ben Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
