Randall L. Reed, 68, of Arlington, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home.
He was born September 3, 1953, in Shelbyville, the son of Robert L. and Sharla Mae (Smith) Reed. On June 15, 1972, he married his wife of nearly 50 years, Donna Bateman, and she survives.
In addition to Donna, Randy is survived by his daughters, Michele L. Harroll and husband, Pastor Michael, of Willard, Ohio, and Heather Linville and husband, Luther Sr., of Arlington; brothers, Richard C. Reed and wife, Shirley of Beech Grove, Ronald Lee Reed and wife, Kathy, of Morristown, and Robert C. Reed and wife, Joy, of Greenfield; sister, Mary Ann Branson and husband, Mark, of Greenfield; grandchildren, Luther Linville Jr. and wife, Victoria, Noah Linville and fiancee’, Alyssa Klingstein, Ally Linville, Reed Linville, James Linville, Thomas Linville, Maddie Harroll and Maisy Harroll; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Grace Linville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Randy graduated in 1971 from Morristown High School. He continued his education in HVAC and plumbing, and also became a master electrician.
He was a member of the Little Blue River Friends Church.
Randy retired as the building inspector for the Town of Morristown, in December of 2020, with 20 years of service.
He also was a self-employed contractor for over 30 years.
Randy enjoyed and loved spending time with his family.
A Gathering of Friends will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Little Blue River Friends Church, 122 South CR 1000 W, Morristown, Indiana.
The Celebration of Randy’s life will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, at the church, with Pastor Shane Arthur officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Blue River Friends Church.
