Randy Gene Bowers

Randy Gene Bowers, 65, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his home. He was born June 23, 1954, in Shelbyville, the son of Charley “Tom” and Phyllis (Moore) Bowers. He married Wanda K. Anders on June 20, 1975, and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2012. On September 17, 2016, he married Linda Conway, and she survives. In addition to Linda, Randy is survived by his mother of Shelbyville; brother, Danny Bowers and wife, Peggy, of St. Paul; grandsons, Matthew Bowers and Nate Bowers; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a large extended loving family. He was preceded in death by his father. Randy graduated in 1973 from Shelbyville High School. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. Randy retired as a fork lift operator at Knauf Insulation, in 2017, with over 35 years of service. He was an excellent woodworker and he enjoyed watching Little League baseball. He also enjoyed watching the nieces and nephews participate in sporting events. Randy and Linda loved to travel. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at the church, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Children’s Wing.
