Reba F. Simpson, 71, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1946, in Decatur County, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (Pike) Stainbrook. On August 10, 1963, she married her husband of 54 years, Robert E. Simpson, and he survives. In addition to Robert, Reba is survived by her son, Gary Simpson and wife, Lisa, of Edinburgh; daughter, Lisa Krise and husband, Todd, of Shelbyville; brother, Jerry Stainbrook and wife, Marlinda, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Whitney Simpson, Dustin Simpson and wife, Jenn, Koty Simpson, Tyler Smothers and wife, Kylie, and Haley Davis; great-grandchildren, Cameron Simpson, Alexis Davis and Lillian Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Reba was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jay C. Stainbrook; and sisters, Mary Mae Brinson and Debbie Keene. She was a member of Hope Community Church of God in Hope. Reba loved to decorate and enjoyed crafting, gardening and sewing. She was a wonderful cook. She loved her family and her church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church of God, 15250 E 650 N, Hope, IN 47246. Online condolences may be shared with Reba’s family at www.freemanfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
