Richard G. Vinson, 44, of Waldron, passed away, Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
He was born July 30, 1978, in Franklin, the son of Michael and Teresa (Rodgers) Vinson. On May 15, 2010, he married Rachel Petro, and she survives.
In addition to Rachel, Richard is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; son, Clayton Vinson of Shelbyville; daughters, Lauryn Vinson of Raymondville, Texas, and Riley Vinson of Waldron; brother, Michael Vinson Jr. and wife, Ana, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Everly Vinson and Aubrey Vinson; mother-in-law, Sandy Petro of Edinburgh; father-in-law, Jim Petro and wife, Angie, of Edinburgh.
Richard graduated in 1997 from Shelbyville High School.
He had worked as a CNC technician at PKUSA, for the last 16 years.
Richard enjoyed going fishing and camping. He also enjoyed working on vehicles.
He loved his family and enjoyed making memories with them.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at Noon, Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Harvey Taylor officiating.
Interment will be at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
