Robert "Bob" Held

Robert “Bob” Held, age 90, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at North East Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Morristown, IN to the late John L & Gladys (Devning) Held on April 15, 1929. He enjoyed playing basketball, golf and watching sports. He is survived by his children, Christine (Held) Williams, Larry “Tony” (Carol) Held, Robert “Doug” (Terri) Held, Cheryl (Chris) Wood, Greg (Becky) Held and Lisa (Steven) Lansing; sisters, Jean (Keith) Shelton and Marcia (Held) Wells; 20 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; and four Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Held; two brothers; and four sisters. A gathering of friends will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. n Morristown. A Memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Father Aaron Jenkins officiating. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville at a later date.
