Robert L. Boswell

Robert L. Boswell, 45, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was born January 14, 1976, in Indianapolis, the son of Thomas and Judy (Bragg) Settles. On August 22, 2009, he married Susan Marie Smith, and she survives. In addition to Susan, Rob is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; grandmother, Betty Reed of Shelbyville; brothers, William Boswell and significant other, Liana, of Greenwood, and Jacob Settles and wife, Karlie, of Shelbyville; sister, Taylor Short and husband, Adam, of Greenfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tom and Sherry Smith of Shelbyville; sisters-in-law, Shannon Doyle and husband, Tony, and Misty Smith, both of Shelbyville, Melissa Crafton and boyfriend, Brian, of Fairland; special friends, Bill and Terri Brown of Shelbyville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his daughter, Rushelle Renee Boswell on June 13, 2021. He was a member of the Shelbyville High School Class of 1994. Rob was a truck driver for JM Allen Trucking, for the last seven years. He enjoyed going fishing and camping. Rob also enjoyed woodworking and shooting. Rob also leaves behind his dogs, Missy and Milo. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. For protection of others the family requires mask be worn in the building. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
