Sally Lyn Ham, 92, of Morristown, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Morristown Manor in Morristown.
She was born on December 15, 1933, in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of Ora E. and Willa Beatrice (Carter) Smith. On June 26, 1955, Sally married Cedric Ham, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1995.
Sally is survived by her children, Kelley Willey and husband, Albert of Morristown, Kent Ham of Shelbyville, and Kim Waltz and husband, Sean, of Morristown; special friend, Sandie Thomas of Morristown; grandchildren, Shauna, Todd, Kendra, Kyle, Tyler and Kaylin; great-grandchild, Austin Cory; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Cedric, Sally was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Short; brother, John Smith; and special friends, Jim Thomas, Jean Young and Peggy Myer.
In 1952, Sally graduated from Morristown High School.
She was an active member of the Gwynneville Christian Church, where she previously sang in the choir, taught junior church and served as the President of Ladies Aid in 2011.
Sally was raised from age 10 years old in Gwynneville, later moving to Morristown at the age of 21 years.
She was formerly employed at IPC for 15 years and Padgett Chevrolet for three years.
Sally was also very active in the community. She was a member of the Morristown Order of Eastern Star No. 316 (which consolidated with Naamah Chapter No. 73 in 2017) since 1986 and the Morristown American Legion Auxiliary since 1965. Sally was an avid supporter of the Morristown Marching Band.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Gwynneville Christian Church, 7104 E. Mulberry Street in Gwynneville, with Eastern Star services at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the church with Pastor Ted Hagel officiating.
Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
A special thanks is extended to the activities department at Morristown Manor for the care and concern they showed to Sally.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
