Sonja Kay Lee

Sonja Kay Lee, 62, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron.

She was born December 19, 1959, in Rushville, the daughter of Norman Lee and Edna Leota (Kephart) Herbert.

Sonja is survived by her sister, Angie Jones of Martinsville; brother, Norman Herbert Jr. of Shelbyville; nieces, Dawn Hiatt and Priscilla Hall; nephews, Jeremy Herbert and Jacob Herbert; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Herbert.

Sonja graduated in 1978 from Rushville Consolidated High School.

She retired in 2007 from driving a truck.  She had drove for numerous companies.

Sonja enjoyed crocheting and coloring.

She was a social butterfly.

Private family services will be observed.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
