Theresa Jean (Cherry) Snow, 79, of New Palestine passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.
She was born November 23, 1940, in Fairland, the daughter of Claude and Mary (Crane) Cherry. On March 18, 1967, she married Elmer “Junior” Snow, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1989.
Theresa is survived by her son, Jeffrey Alan Snow and wife, Michelle, of Shelbyville; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Stoneking and husband, Jason, of New Palestine; sister, Athalia Cherry of Pace, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Brittany Dessify and husband, Adam, Lora Stoneking and Jayden Snow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Junior, Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children; brother, Phillip Cherry; grandson, Jacob Stoneking; great-granddaughter, Penelope Layne Dessify; and niece, Marla Lopez.
Theresa graduated in 1959 from Fairland High School.
She was formerly employed at Admiral Corporation, Triton Middle School and The Bluebird Restaurant.
Theresa enjoyed reading and doing genealogy research.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the funeral home, with Pastor Jolita Erbele officiating.
Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
