Thomas Clarence Dwenger, 73, of Gwynneville passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at his residence.
He was born April 28, 1945, in Hamburg, the son of Clarence and Bessie (Wirth) Dwenger. On May 9, 1970, he married Anna Lou Moore, and she survives.
In addition to Anna, Thomas is survived by his son, David Allen Dwenger of Gwynneville; daughters, Deborah Ann Burrows of Lebanon, Tammy Sue Karnes and husband, David, of Manilla, and Amy Lynn Kelsheimer of Indianapolis; brothers, Bob Dwenger and wife, Clara, of Rushville, Bill Dwenger and wife, Jean, of Batesville, Jim Dwenger and wife, Dana, of Sunman, and Adolph Dwenger of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Doris Biddle and husband, Howard, of Sunman, Rita Livers of Batesville and Mabel Sunderhaus and husband, Eric, of Hamburg; sister-in-law, Joan Dwenger of Batesville; grandchildren, Timothy Alan Garrison, Ashley Dawn Garrison, Michael David Robinson, Bradley David Karnes, Melissa Carson McCord, Hannah Leigh Labadie and Jared Vaughn Wininger; great-grandchildren, Mia Lynn Labadie, Ryland Kayb Maier, Autumn Rose Guffey and Avayah Lynn Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ann Rogers and husband, Bill; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Dwenger and wife, Jean; and brother, Lloyd Dwenger.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam.
Thomas formerly worked in several factories, was a carpenter and retired from Goodwill in Shelbyville.
A Celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Shiloh Christian Church, 4980 S 500E, Greenfield, Indiana, with Pastor Fred Girdwood.
Inurment will be at Rossburg Cemetery in New Pointe.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
