Thomas E. Morrissey, 74, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born June 17, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Emmett and Marian (Groener) Morrissey.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Patrick Morrissey and wife Kanthi, of New York, Kevin Morrissey and wife, Michelle, of Chicago, and Brian Morrissey and wife, Svetlana, of Tennessee; daughter, Katie Beazley and husband, Brian, of Chicago; brothers, Dennis Morrissey and Jerry Morrissey, both of Chicago; sisters, Marion Franke, Lori Connelly, and Elaine Pameditis. all of Arizona, and Patricia Callahan of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; grandchildren, Joe, Nathan, Maggie, Ben, Veda, Sara, Matthew, Ryan and Samantha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Morrissey, Frank Morrissey, Bill Morrissey and Jim Morrissey; and sister, Sister Kathleen Morrissey.
Thomas graduated in 1964 from De La Salle High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Thomas worked for the Chicago Pipefitters Local No. 597 for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the McGregor Baptist Church,
10850 S McGregor Road in Indianapolis.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
