Thomas Edward Evans

Thomas Edward Evans, 68, of Campbellsburg, formerly of Shelbyville passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at Robley Rex Veteran’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born February 11, 1953, in Shelbyville, the son of Kenneth and Doris (Vogel) Evans. On December 26, 2004, he married Claudia Lewis, and she survives. In addition to Claudia, Thomas is survived by his son, Gregory Tevis and wife, Cassie, of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Kenny Evans of Flat Rock and Ronnie Evans of Indianapolis; sisters, Mary Sturgill of Indianapolis, Nancy Conrad, Becky Bennett and Doris Hankins, all of Shelbyville, and Donna Cowen of Fairland; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lucille Evans. Thomas was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a long-distance truck driver. A Celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
