Thomas Wayne "Tom" Yarling

Thomas Wayne “ Tom” Yarling, 56, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born February 1, 1967, in Shelby County, the son of Raymond Yarling and Mickey (Emerick) Anderson.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Emily Grace Yarling of Columbus; fiance’, Amie Lisby, and her children, Caleb, Christian and Collin; sister, Kristi Lyn Nightenhelser and husband, Vern, of Shelbyville; brothers, Raymond Dale Yarling and wife, Linda, of Green River, Wyoming, and Roy Yarling and wife, Tina, of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In 1985, he graduated from Columbus East High School.  Tom obtained his associates degree in Imaging Science, in 2006.  He was currently employed as a radiologic technologist at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.

Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping with Amie, or fishing.  He also enjoyed playing cards.

He had a passion for riding his motorcycle with his buddy, Jason and his cousin, Dave.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
