Wanda Lee (Icenogle) Long, 72, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. She was born May 23, 1947, in Rush County, the daughter of Byron Peter and Nettie Florence (Flannery) Icenogle. Wanda is survived by her sons, Carl Wesley Long and Jason Patrick Long and wife, Joanna, both of Shelbyville, and Ryan Adam Long and wife, Amy, of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Wilbur Gerald Icenogle and wife, Ruth, of Shelbyville, Thomas Allen Icenogle of Milroy, and Larry Dean Icenogle and wife, Jolene of Shelbyville; sister, Debra Jean Linthicum and husband, Jim, of Solsberry; grandchildren, Ethan Patrick Long, Ellie Marie Long and Aliya Walters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Wanda graduated in 1965 from Milroy High School. She was a member of Moscow Christian Church. Wanda retired in 2009, as a data processor at First Indiana Bank for 12 years, prior to that she worked at KCL. She enjoyed working word search puzzles and watching law dramas on television. Wanda loved the time she spent with her family and friends. Private services will be observed, due to the current health regulations. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Shelby County, PO Box 844, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176 or the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 10, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
